Well yeah, I haven’t got a chance to go to Santorini (Greece). But when I arranged my Bangkok trip, I found a theme park that resemble it in Thailand and it went to my what-to-do list straight away. I wanted to visit it ever since I read so many blog talk about this place. Santorini Park is located at Hua Hin, Cha-am Thailand. It’s 3 hours drive, which is approximately 180+ Km from Bangkok.
We rented a van and a driver to get there. The driver picked us up at 8am at the hotel, it cost about 4500 Baht for 12 hours ( IDR 1.700.000, 1 Baht=375 IDR). I booked my driver from Mr. Tanoo (email). He is fluent in speaking English and Indonesian, our driver’s name is Mr. Chad. He is so kind and polite. The van is very clean and comfy, a little too big for two of us, but it’s fine.
Santorini Park is a photogenic theme park with an open air mall. It really resemble Greek island, classic white buildings, colourfully painted windows, and stone-paved paths. A beautiful & romantic place for photo-taking, mini attraction rides for children, a few cute little cafe & some retails to shop. The entrance fee is 150 Baht (IDR 57.000) for adults, but you’ll need to pay more for the rides or attraction.
That was a cloudy and a bit drizzle day. Thank God, because if the sun is up, you can get sun burn there. I spent about 2 hours, just for taking photos and enjoying the ambiance. In my opinion the place is not so big, but it’s really photogenic. If you love taking pictures, it will be a happy place for you. Just like my husband, he took thousand shoots of me lol. I really can’t describe it, so lets the picture talk it self.
