What to eat in bangkok: Kum Poon

I spent my last weekend in Bangkok, Thailand. When you hear about Bangkok, what’s come up on your mind? Me.. Suddenly I got watery mouth, thinking about their authentic food. Sour, spicy and a bit of everything. So yummmyyy and I’m ready to start my culinary trip.

Posing in front of Central World Christmas decoration

First, I visit Central World. The mega-shopping complex mall in Bangkok. It’s the tenth biggest mall in the world. Just across my hotel, Arnoma Grand Hotel. As soon as I get arrived at the hotel, touching up a little bit. And go straight to the mall, because I’m so starving.

I found this restaurant named Kum Poon. Kum Poon is specialising in north eastern Thai cuisine. It was so packed around 8pm, and full of locals people. You can easily find thai isaan resto here. But my eyes got up to this eyecathing resto.

Here was the list we ordered. First one was Tom Yum Goong Ma Prao Orn (180 baht). It was hot and sour herbal soup “Tom Yum” with prawns and young coconut. The taste was so fresh and tasty. It was so good, to fill my energy up after a long flight.

The second I ordered was Pad Thai; stir fried rice noodle or glass vermicelli with prawns, egg, bean sprout and tofu (130 baht). The Pad Thai was sweet, tangy, hot and sour. Super yummy!

The third one was Nua Yang; Charcoal grilled beef served with house spicy sauce (160 baht). It was my favorite one. I liked the sauce a lot, it’s sour and spicy all at once. You should order it, when you visit this restaurant.

The food was quite good and the price was not expensive. The place is so comfy and cozy. It gave me a casual and friendly mood.
